Marlene Turner, Director

Marlene Turner resides in Euless and joined North Texas SNAP after her retirement from HEB-ISD as a first grade teacher. Her son, Chad, is her inspiration to help make SNAP a vital organization in the community. She values service to others and wants to help SNAP explore all possibilities that would benefit SNAP members.

Marlene has volunteered with SNAP since 2001 and became the organization’s treasurer until she resigned in 2014 to help with a family business. She was one of a small group that initiated SNAP’s galas and was involved with their planning and success over the years. In 2011 she was SNAP’s Shining Star for ArtsNet (Arts Council Northeast). In August of 2021 she rejoined the board as a Director.

Marlene loves her church, family, friends and traveling. Her most recent hobby is knitting and has completed her first project. She is a member of HEB Retired School Employees and an active participant in her church.
