Social

North Texas SNAP’s Social Activities provide Members with opportunities to form friendships at monthly fun activities such as supper club, movie madness, dances and bowling.

The Social Committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month via Zoom at 1:30 p.m. We encourage parents, Members and community professionals to serve on the committee to help provide our Members with a variety of social activities.

We welcome volunteers who would like to help with the Spring & Christmas dances, Quarterly Birthday Parties, Halloween Party and additional group events.

Loneliness and isolation may be the one of the most significant challenges for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and friendships can make all the difference in the world.

The more experience our Members have within the safety of the group, the more likely they are to try new ventures.
