Paula Matzen – Vice President & Secretary

Paula began as a community volunteer for SNAP in 2017 after retiring from a 33 year career at The Lockheed Martin Corporation.   As a Finance & Business Operations director her focus was on Government Finance and Strategic Transformation.

Today, Paula’s daily life is focused on her philanthropy and family activities.   At SNAP she is an avid volunteer at SNAP “Girls Night Out” as well as participating at the quarterly SNAP dance parties.  She holds the office of Vice-President / Secretary on the SNAP Board of Directors and is currently accountable for writing financial grants for the organization.

Additionally, Paula volunteers her time and talent at another non-profit organization – The House of Shine, located in downtown Grapevine.  She assists with the business model, crafts, and grant writing.  Paula is also a member of the Tarleton University Foundation Board and the Tarleton College of Business Advisory Board.

Paula has one daughter, Sally age 26, who lives and works in downtown Fort Worth.  Recently Paula and Sally traveled to the south of France spending time in a 13th Century Chateau.  Paula loves to garden, travel, watch college football and to re-finish old furniture.
