Virginia Melvin resides in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband, David, and son, Lucas. She retired in 2018 after working in accounting and payroll. Her family joined North Texas SNAP in 2012 to find friends and activities for Lucas. In 2019, Virginia and David received the Shining Star Award at the annual Gala. In 2024, she joined the SNAP Board of Directors in order to continue to make SNAP the successful organization that it is. Virginia is active in helping with parties and other activities SNAP offers. She is active with her church and part of the women’s ministry and Fellowship committee. She enjoys traveling with her family and especially enjoys cruising.
